Course Content:

  • Coronavirus Personal Protection Program:
    • Interactive, audio/visual training program combining photographs, voice over, text, and animations designed to inform the trainee about universal precautions, the risks and types of infectious diseases contracted through exposure, the proper safeguards to prevent exposure and proper methods of handling potential contaminants.
    • Emergency University has developed a Coronavirus Personal Protection Program that reviews the actions workers should follow to maximally protect them from contracting the Coronavirus. We like to explain "why" things work, as well as "what" to do, as people tend to be more willing to take actions when they understand the "why" rather than just the "command".
  • Mental Health Wellness and Coping with the Stress of Pandemic Isolation
    • Fear and anxiety about an outbreak of disease like the coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions in adults and children. Learning how to cope with stress will make you, the people you care about, and your community stronger. Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. How you respond to the outbreak can depend on your background, the differences that are unique to you, and the community you live in.
    • Emergency University has developed a course on Mental Health Wellness and Coping with the Stress of Pandemic Isolation during these tough times. This program addresses the likelihood that isolation (working at home) adds significant mental stress to the already stressful conditions that exist during the coronavirus pandemic. Anxiety and fear, relating to illness, financial worries, and concerns for job security are exacerbated as our social interactions are significantly reduced. Our program creates awareness of the emotions workers may be experiencing and offers coping strategies to deal with their emotions and social isolation. The company will benefit from the return of "mentally healthy" workers.
  • Workstation Ergonomics Assessment and Training
    • The outbreak of the coronavirus disease and its highly contagious nature has led to companies sending their people home to continue work. Most corporations understand that an ergonomically sound workstation boosts productivity. Designing a workspace that promotes good posture, less repetitive motions, easier heights and reaches, and less exertion nurtures a more efficient work process. More efficiency equals more productivity. This Workstation Ergonomics Assessment and Training program ensures that whatever the current state of the desk/chair/computer/screen, this program can better configure it, eliminating physical deterioration
    • Our program addresses behaviors as well as structural adjustments. This interactive program allows each individual to build their own "virtual workstation". The program concludes with a list of corrective recommendations, based on worker selections, at little to no cost to the employer.
