OSHA --29 CFR 1910.157 --requires employers who provide fire extinguishers in the workplace to provide an "educational program" that covers the principles of fire extinguisher use as well as the potential dangers of fire-fighting. This program must be provided as part of new employee orientations, and annually thereafter. Employee training Is tracked in real time and its completion by each employee recorded. OSHA accepts online training to meet this requirement.
Emergency University's Fire Extinguisher Training Program is self-paced, and an e-cert is delivered directly to the employee's cellphone upon completion. Employers can access training records via Maestro™ EU's Learning Management System.
